Sirail, expert on the railway market, extends its range of catalog products with the acquisition of the patents for the LIFT-OK© range of access ramps, platforms, and lifts for access to railway transport (tramways and trains) for people with reduced mobility in wheelchairs. This range of access solutions for trains and tramways completes the catalog of Sirail products (key boxes, footrests, control panels).
These semi-automatic lift and platform systems are designed to meet all European quality and safety requirements and can be mounted on existing rolling stock or directly on new trains as original equipment. In the case of retrofitting to fleets of rolling stock in operation, the products can be assembled and installed in a few hours by the teams of technicians, on all types of cars, regardless of the original manufacturer and the year the train was put into service. Once installed, LIFT-OK© products are quick and easy to use by on-board personnel and provide an effective access solution for people with reduced mobility.
Sirail is proud to expand its product range with the acquisition of the LIFT-OK© range, and thus contribute to the requirements of equity in terms of access to rail transport for all.
The acquisition of the LIFT-OK© range patents consolidate Sirail’s diversification strategy to meet the expectations of our partners, major players in the European railway sector, manufacturers, and operators of rolling stock. It comes at a time when the European standard TSI PMR 2014, concerning on-board access for people with reduced mobility in wheelchairs, will come into force in 2026.
